Obadiah 1:15-18 - The Day of the Lord upon All Nations
The judgment of Edom for her opposition to Israel foreshadows the judgment or all nations in the future Day of the Lord. Through their rejection of God's election of Israel, the Gentile nations are prophesied to follow in Edom's footsteps thus becoming the future objects of God's wrath.
