  1. The Betrayal of God (Mat. 26:1-5)

The very priests who should have ministered to God plot the demise of His Son. [31 minutes]

    Greg Summers

  2. Truth from an Olive Tree (Rom. 11:16-22)

In a widely misunderstood passage, Paul uses an olive tree to illustrate the relationship of Jewish and Gentile believers to the Abrahamic Covenant. [62 minutes]

    Andy Woods

  3. Jesus and the Rapture

Did Jesus ever refer to the rapture? When this question is asked, two passages usually come to mind: Matt 24:40-41 and John 14:1-4. The purpose of this paper is to show that although Christ did not refer to the rapture in Matt 24:40-41, He did refer to the rapture in John 14:1-4. This paper was presented at the 2011 meeting of the Pre-Trib Study Group.

  4. Book Recommendation: Future Israel - Why Christian Anti-Judaism Must be Challenged

Lacking the necessary time to review the book in detail, I want to recommend it to those who follow the ongoing historical debate among Christians as to whether the Jews and the nation of Israel have continued significance in the plan of God. This 394-page book by Barry Horner addresses numerous issues with insight and makes the case that what we believe as Christians about Israel today is of great importance. The book identifies the unpleasant role which Christian theology and Biblical interpretation have often played as contributing factors in the historical persecution of the Jews and in fueling modern Christian opposition to Israel's claim to the land. The text also includes an in-depth consideration of biblical teaching on the subject. As a plus, the book contains many interesting citations by previous writers who have undertaken this topic (e.g., Bonar, Spurgeon, Ryle).
