    Learning from Rabbis regarding how to interpret the Old Testament is a mixed bag. On the one hand, there can be some valuable aspects to familiarize ourselves with the Jewish roots of the Christian faith. On the other hand, when the topic veers near any passage which is obviously Messianic, then there is considerable motivation to deny a Messianic interpretation and especially any connection with the historical Jesus.
