Q70 : The Order of the Church

Is it a biblical fact that elders, deacons, etc. are part of "the order of the Church?" I personally think that there is too much man and God is not welcome and it's all politics when there is too much "leadership," the "big me little you."

The short answer is yes, elders and deacons are God's design for how churches are to be governed and operated. This is clear from many passages in God's Holy Word. And if this is what is specified in God's Holy Word, then far be it for us to hold otherwise.

The problems you identify are not inherent in the form of Church government God has set forth, but manifestations of sin which afflicts both immature Christians and society at large.
